Its no secret that Lake Eufaula is the largest lake in Oklahoma, so it just makes sense that some of the best fishing in Oklahoma is right here in Lake Eufaula.

The four most sought after fish are black bass, crappie, catfish and white bass. Added into this fishing equation are striped bass below the dam and gar and other rough fish for the bow fisherman.

The term "black bass" includes largemouth, spotted, and small mouth basss. All of which are plentiful all over Lake Eufaula.

The next most popular fish on Lake Eufaula is the crappie. Eufaula is known as one of the top ten crappie and bass fishing lakes in the nation. Some of the more popular crappie areas are near bridges, rip-rap shorelines, brush piles, and standing timber.

For the not-so-faint-of-heart you might try your hand at noodling, a type of fishing for flathead catfish. If you don't mind sticking your hand in a dark hole underwater and having a flathead chomp down, then this fishing is for you.
